Prayer is at the heart of our church life

Prayer is a vital part of life as a Christian. We pray in church, at home, together, on our own.  We offer thanks to God, ask his forgiveness when we get things wrong, pray for people we care about and much more. Often we pray ‘on the spur of the moment’, responding to situations as we meet them. Prayer is talking to God about everything on a daily basis.

Prayer Room

Prayer
We have created a ‘Prayer Room’ within our church building, where various resources are available for prayer. The prayer room is a quiet place for prayer, meditation and reflection. Please feel free to visit the prayer room at any time you are within our church building.

We meet for prayer within the prayer room every Sunday morning 09:50 – 10:05am.

All are welcome to join us at this time of prayer.

Let the peace of this place surround you as you sit or kneel quietly. Let the hurry and worry of your life fall away from you. You are God’s child. He loves you and cares for you. He is here with you now and always. Speak to Him slowly and thoughtfully give yourself time for Him to bring things to mind.

Lord, thank you, for your presence here, for the opportunity to pray, for the promise of peace, for the beauty of the world, the kindness of people…. for all those whom I love… and who love me… for Your love towards me (and especially for…) for the Cross of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. Help me to show my gratitude in deeds as well as words. Amen.
